Pratapgarh District(The Green District) is newly constituted district in Rajasthan State. it came into existence on January 26, 2008 as 33rd district of Rajasthan. It was carved out from Chittorgarh district, Udaipur district and Banswara district. Famous for its Thewa art, the town is surrounded by tribal villages. It is second highest place in Rajasthan after Mount Abu. The city is a blend of old and new cultures. In nearby villages, the tribal culture still thrives. Every Sunday when the tribes come to the city to buy merchandise in theweekly haat market, the city also looks tribal. After the declaration as a district, new development plans has been executed in the city by state govt. Places to visit are Deogarh Fort, Bhagwan Shiva Place at Gotemshwar, Sita Mata Wild Sanctuary etc.

Baiji Ki Masjid and Dargah Kaka Saheb

Baiji Ki Masjid in Salampura and Mosque of Madar Chilla at Talab Road are the most reputed religious places among the Muslim Community. Dargah Kaka Saheb is the most visited tourist place by the Bohra Community all over India. It is situated in the midst of Pratapgarh City.

Bhagwan Shiva Place, Gotemshwar

Gotemshwar is a Bhagwan Shiva Place situated nearby town Arnod, 18 KM away from Pratapgarh. The ling of Bhagwan Shiva is divided in four parts here and tide up with a silver wire. It is says that a Muslim Emperor in the Mughal Edge destroyed the Ling and made four part of this ling by his sword.Gupteshwar, Deepanath, Parshwanath Mandir, Keshav Rai Mandir are some Most Visited and Center of Religious Hindu Feelings in the area.

Sita Mata Wild Sanctuary
