Welcome to Dahod,

Dahod is the state in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is situated on the banks of river Dudhimati. The Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, was born in the fort of Dahod in 1618.

The people living in the district are mostly rural. Moreover, a majority of the districts residents are Tribals, mostly Bhils. Jhalod is a large town of historical and commercial importance and serves as administrative headquarters of Jhalod Taluka in Dahod District, Gujarat State, India.

Devzari Mahadev Temple

An ancient temple of Devzari Mahadev is situated at Rozam village on the outskirt of National Highway in Dahod district. It is just 14 km away from the district. Shivratri on every monday is the important day in this temple.

Dhudhar Dev Shiv Mandir

It is situated in Chakaliya town in Dahod. Temple of Shiva and Hanuman carved in stone. There is a basin near the temple.

Kedarnath Temple

A divine temple of Devkedareshvar Mahadev is situated in Chosala town in Dahod. The temple is constructed in long cave of stone. Cow-mouth of temple is consistently flowing water.

Mangadh Hill

It is situated in Gadhada village in Taluka Fatepure, District Dahod. It's a pious place of faith for tribals of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhyapradesh for Guru Govindsinh. The entire area is gifted with beautiful hills surrounded by scattered forests. Backwaters of Kadana dam are very near to this area.

Panchkrishna Temple

Panchkrishna temple is situated at Therka village of Zalod taluka in Dahod. It is a historical temple of 12th century. According to, myth, Pandavas, during their forest-dwelling stayed here and founded this temple.


Ratanpur is bear sanctuary in Dhanpur in Dahod district. This sanctuary covers area of 55 km. And it is notified as protected area. This sanctuary is known for its flora and fauna.

Shiva Temple

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has finally decided to restore the 12th-century Shiv temple in Bavka, an interior village in Dahod district. About 14 km from Dahod, the Bavka temple, according to locals, was constructed by a devdasi (a temple dancer) in a single night.

It was constructed during 746-483 B.C. is situated at Bavka village in Dahod, this temple is declared as historical monument due to its unique sculpture. A tank near the temple creates beautiful, pleasant natural atmosphere.
